Data Deletion

How to delete your data

Mentbot is a comment-automation tool for Facebook Pages. When you connect a Page, we store an access token for that Page, the Page's name and picture, and a record of the comments our rules acted on — including the commenter's name and Facebook ID. You can have all of it erased in any of the three ways below. There is no charge, and we do not ask you to explain why.

1. Delete your Mentbot account

Sign in at app.mentbot.com, open Settings, and use Delete account. This cancels any subscription and erases everything at once: your connected Pages and their access tokens, every comment record, your reply rules and templates, your notification settings, and your login details. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

2. Disconnect a single Page

If you only want one Page removed, open Pages in the dashboard and disconnect it. We unsubscribe from that Page's comment events, delete its access token, and erase the comment records and reply rules belonging to it, while leaving your account and your other Pages alone.

3. Remove Mentbot from Facebook

You can also start the deletion from Facebook itself, without signing in to Mentbot:

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings & PrivacySettings.
  2. Open Apps and Websites and find Mentbot in the list.
  3. Choose Remove.
  4. Tick the option to delete the data Mentbot holds, then confirm.

Facebook notifies us automatically. We erase your Facebook data on receipt and return a confirmation code, which Facebook shows you along with a link back to this page.

What is erased, and what is kept

Deletion removes your connected Pages and their access tokens, the stored comment activity (comment text, commenter name, commenter ID, post and comment IDs), your reply rules and templates, and your notification targets. Comment activity also expires on its own after 120 days even if you do nothing.

Two things survive a deletion, and neither contains Facebook data: our record that a deletion took place (the confirmation code, the date, and a count of what was removed, kept for one year), and the billing and invoice records our payment processor is required to retain by Thai tax law. Deleting your account cancels the subscription itself.
