Facebook auto-reply message templates
Twelve comment scenarios, each with the trigger words to paste in, two or three public reply variants, the Messenger message, the settings to turn on — and the comments that will not match, which is the part that costs you money to find out in production.
Pick the comment you keep getting
- "Is this still available?" Ready to buy, checking the post is not three weeks stale. A slow answer here reads as "sold out" and they move on. Best scope Keywords, on every post
- "Mine" claims on live video Commercial and time-critical. The buyer wants to know their claim landed before the host moves to the next item, and a claim nobody acknowledged is a sale lost in about eight seconds. Best scope A list of posts
- After hours Two-thirds of comments on a selling Page arrive outside working hours. The goal is not to answer them — it is to stop the commenter leaving before you can. Best scope Every post, every comment
- COD and payment About to buy, checking they can pay the way they want. COD in particular is a yes/no that decides the order. Best scope Keywords, on every post
- Giveaway entries Entrants want proof their entry counted. Unconfirmed entries produce a comment thread full of "did mine go through?", which is the noise that buries the giveaway. Best scope A list of posts
- Hashtag promos Power-user. Someone running a recurring promo who does not want to paste post IDs into a rule every time they post. Best scope Posts carrying a hashtag
- How to order Decided. They are asking for the path to give you money, and every minute between the comment and the link is a minute they can be sold to by someone else. Best scope Keywords, on every post
- Phone numbers and contact details Protective, not commercial. The seller wants the comment gone quickly and quietly, and wants to know what the filters will and will not catch before trusting them. Best scope Keywords, on every post
- PM sent Mixed. Some people search the phrase to find out what it means; the rest are sellers typing it forty times a day by hand. Both end up wanting the same rule. Best scope Keywords, on every post
- Price questions Someone wants to buy and does not want to ask twice. They will scroll on if the comment sits unanswered, and they usually will not open Messenger first. Best scope Keywords, on every post
- Shipping and delivery Late-stage. Shipping cost is the single biggest cause of abandoned orders, so a reply that names a number beats a reply that says "we'll DM you". Best scope Keywords, on every post
- Size and colour Comparing, not browsing. They want a measurement or a swatch before committing, and a link to a website they have to open is friction they will not accept. Best scope Keywords, on every post
